Robert Schwartz, AIA (Construction)
Robert Schwartz of Schwartz, Romano & Assoc. was the worst expert I ever used. Robert Schwartz, at the time I used him on a premises liability/negligent design of a building matter, was a complate sham. Meaning, I think he not only lied when he said he had expert witness "trial" experience, but he was terrible during the trial. He was evasive, technical, holier then though, and refused to disclose how much money he made. He did everything contrary to what I told him to do.
I find it hilarious that his web site list the "project" of mine in which he was retained. I would not use him. Anyway, maybe I should have read the fine print on this CV better, it says "occassional testimony during deposition or trial".
Romano was at least pleasant, and open
My expereince with these guys was Romano tried to separate himself from Shwartz, I think Romano lived in Marina del Rey and focused upon other thinks. My impression of Romano was he was a more honest, but he too was a "expert salesman" selling his wares. I would still stay away and I don't think Romano had acutal experience testifying in jury trials.
