Yahoo desktop works well. It is free, it does MS Word, Wordperfect, pdf, email, etc. I even got it to work in a networked environment (Windows server 2003) I would have bought the "real" version from X1, but the idiot salesperson never called me back and their pricing schedule is too much for a small firm. If they were smart, they would sell their enterprise version for use by 5 persons on a real network for $100. Whatever, you can get it to work for you with the free version and almost have all of the same features.
