He is very organized, punctual. He has online incourt room procedurers which he adheres to. He will work hard to settle your case. He also has a good feel when your case is actually ready for trial. Over all a good fair judge.
Goodman is one of those rare judges who actually reads an entire FILE when a case gets transferred to him. I was amazed that he picked up a small detail that he brought up during an appearance, and formed an immediate and lasting respect for him. I have heard other good things about him from other palintiff's attorneys, too.
I also liked him. This judge cited cases on his own which helped my case. He seems practical and extremely will prepared. He has great tentative rulings!
Goodman is a good judge, but maybe a little too smart!
I also really like this judge. I have had him several times, he starts his calendar on time, is easy going, will engage in argument for as long as you wish and he has a great sense of humor.
He has saved my tushy on a few occasions by him actually following the law when I messed up something or did not express it correctly. He is very neutral and I think wants the correct result but I have also seen him slam other attorneys who I know are "professional friends" with him or have known him for many years. Sometimes he follows the law a little too correctly, but it is impossible to fault him for doing what the law says or what he may have warned someone not to do.
The only hesitation I have about him is he is smarter then 99% of the bench. That makes me nervous. If for some reason he wants to get you he can find a way. The good thing is I think he is just a very fair judge.
