If you are an underdog, he may be your judge. I've seen him rule for tenants in eviction cases where the landlord clearly should win. He does not say much, other than, "you have not met your burden of proof". Then he will run off the bench so you cannot ask him anymore questions.
On the postive side, he is polite, and will continue trial dates and work with scheduling issues. He will try to get your case to settle, it's just that he just seems to be a bit lazy.
Agreed--he is lazy. He hates discovery motions.
